MBM Methodology

There’s method in our methods. At MBM Travel Executives we are committed to providing each and every client with a process-driven, tailor-made service that really delivers results. No matter how challenging the brief the MBM Travel Executives team is equipped to deliver a seamless service.

We’ve developed and refined a combination of three different recruitment methodologies designed to attract the highest quality and most appropriate candidates.

Contingent Search Recruitment

A popular and effective choice for many of our travel and leisure clients, our contingent search offers a professional, low risk, fast-paced recruitment process. Candidates are sourced using not only our knowledge and expertise of the travel and leisure industry, but also by employing techniques such as targeting travel talent, candidate database search, effective media advertising online/ trade press, networking existing contacts, requesting recommendations, social media and internet job boards. The fee is only applicable once the candidate starts employment with the organisation and clients will benefit from a competitive rebate period.

Advertised Search

The client will use their own logo and branding to maintain exposure in the market place. Behind the scenes, MBM Travel Executives will exclusively manage the campaign and the applications, whilst continuing to carry out an active search and selection elsewhere. This method is typically chosen by clients who don’t have the time or resources to manage a direct recruitment campaign themselves.  We assist with writing copy, along with the scheduling and placement of the advert to ensure the most effectively targeted and results-driven campaign. We then locate and interview both advertised applications and approached candidates in order to provide you with a final shortlist of candidates who meet your criteria. Those who are unsuccessful will be contacted by us directly, allowing clients to concentrate on the job in hand.

Retained Executive Search:

As a retained executive search partner, we work closely and exclusively on confidential, sensitive or typically high-end recruitment assignments.  For retained services, an upfront fee will be applicable, a second fee requested at CV shortlist stage with the remainder invoiced once the candidate commences employment. By working as an extension of the client’s organisation, we are better placed to attract the very highest calibre travel talent with a view to developing and enhancing the future of the business. After an in-depth consultation and full briefing, we partner our client with one of our expert consultants who will help them to create a candidate and position profile along with a tailor-made search strategy, including target companies, positions and individuals.

Retaining MBM Travel Executives means that your particular assignment will be given priority and benefit from the full-time, dedicated focus of your consultant. Many retained recruitment campaigns consist of comprehensive market mapping to establish a target audience inside, or outside, the travel industry. Once this process has been completed and the potential individuals identified, we will prepare a candidate list and discreetly approach them to discuss this unique opportunity on a one-to-one basis.

Intensive pre-screening, competency-based interviews and assessments will then take place to determine fit before a shortlist of candidates that match your agreed criteria is presented to you. A detailed summary of each candidate will be provided for clients to review and we continue to work very closely with clients on the shortlisted candidates throughout interviews, offer, final referencing, negotiation and settling-in period.

You can rest assured that confidentiality is upheld at all times; non-disclosure agreements are common practice at this level, so please request one at pre-interview stage if required. Also, please note that our fee is applicable upfront when retaining our services.
