A renowned global provider in accommodation seeks a Director of Business Development and Marketing to join their vibrant headquarters, which hosts a dynamic team catering to a diverse clientele, ranging from insurance to film and television to banking. Our client seeks an energetic and highly skilled Director of Business Development and Marketing to spearhead their growth initiatives. This is a newly created role reporting to the Managing Director. They are looking for someone with a proven track record in crafting strategic business plans, driving new sales growth, and executing effective marketing strategies, particularly in emerging markets. As a pivotal senior leadership team member, you will play a key role in expanding their market presence, identifying fresh business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with clients and partners.

Director of Sales and Marketing Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Developing and executing comprehensive business development plans aligned with company objectives.
Identifying emerging market opportunities, trends, and innovative strategies to drive business growth.
Collaborating with the executive team to define short and long-term goals, budgets, and strategies.
Leading the acquisition of new clients, partnerships, and business opportunities.
Fostering and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers.
Implement strategies to penetrate new markets
Representing at industry events and networking functions.
Implementing effective sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth.
Setting sales targets, developing forecasts, and monitoring performance metrics.
Guiding the business development team in identifying opportunities, nurturing leads, negotiating deals, and closing contracts.
Developing and overseeing the implementation of marketing plans to promote offerings,
Managing marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, traditional, social media).
Enhancing brand awareness and positioning through strategic marketing initiatives.
Ensuring effective management of external and hosted events.
Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing business development and marketing team.
Cultivating a collaborative work environment and facilitating cross-departmental communication.
Providing guidance, support, and training to team members to achieve their objectives.
Acting as a proactive and collaborative member of the senior leadership team.

Director of Business Development & Marketing Skill Requirements:

Proven experience in a senior business development and marketing role in the hospitality, corporate travel, accommodation or Travel sector
Demonstrated success in driving business growth and cultivating strategic partnerships.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing diverse teams.
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
In-depth knowledge of market trends, competitor analysis, and marketing strategies.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
