Contract – 9-12 months

FULLY REMOTE or 2-3 days in their new, contemporary offices in Scotland.

Our client, a leading adventure tour operator is looking to hire their first Commercial function in their dynamic, growing business! They seek a talented Commercial Analyst to work closely with an established Finance team, contributing to the company's international growth plans and driving improved performance across all fronts. As a Commercial Analyst, you will collaborate closely with key teams, providing best-in-class analysis and insights to support revenue growth and optimize long-term profitability. Your focus will include modelling, analysis, and recommendations for margin growth, data support for product development, and analytical support for long-term commercial strategy setting.

Commercial Analyst Role and Responsibilities:

Establish a revenue management process for pricing recommendations to maximize revenue.
Provide weekly commercial and revenue reporting
Track sales team performance
Support the delivery of the annual Budget and monthly reporting process,
Design, deliver, and implement new reporting tools to drive capability improvements within the Commercial Finance team.
Facilitate the monthly commercial review process, challenging forecasts, and providing insightful analysis into trading performance.
Conduct competitive pricing and landscape analysis, regularly updating the business on trends and behaviour.
Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to identify cost efficiencies and optimize route capacities.
Maintain and utilize the newly created pricing tool to ensure accurate live pricing that supports margin growth.

Candidate Profile: Essential Skills and Behaviours:

Proven track record as a commercial analyst or revenue/yield manager in a fast-growth business.
Travel or internationally focused industry experience preferred.
Excellent experience in developing data modelling.
Commercial focus to maximize the value of their trip portfolio.
Creative problem-solving and strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Track record of implementing creative and innovative ideas driving growth.
Ability to present commercially focused data and break down complex analysis into logical steps.
Energetic, friendly, and a team player.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Resilient, flexible, and a hands-on individual willing to go the extra mile.
Passion for travel is a huge advantage.
