Finance Director (15 Months Maternity Cover) | Competitive Salary/ Preston
We are seeking an experienced Finance Director for a Maternity Cover contract, based in the UK, near Preston 3 days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned, international Travel Group.
In this role, you will provide financial leadership across key areas, including Management Accounting, Finance Systems, Financial Control, and Treasury. You'll deliver a high-quality financial service, drive efficiencies, and ensure accurate reporting in line with group policies.
Finance Director Key Responsibilities:
• Provide financial support and regular communication across the business
• Standardise Management Accounts and Financial Reporting, driving improvements
• Build and maintain a strong financial control culture
• Manage audits, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables
• Oversee balance sheets, cash flow budgets, and forecasts
• Lead and develop the Finance team, fostering collaboration and high performance
Requirements:
• Several years of experience in senior financial roles, ideally within the travel
industry, or retail sector.
• Experience working in a highly transactional, fast-paced company.
• Previous experience working for a large, multinational company in a matrix
environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in team development
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls
• Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
• Post-qualification accounting experience is essential
This is a hybrid role, with some initial office-based requirements and occasional UK travel.
