MBM Travel Executive Recruitment are delighted to be searching for a Product Manager for our high-end, luxury, industry-leading travel client. Our client specialises in European and long-haul destinations, they are open to considering talented candidates with any specialist product knowledge in any destination.

This fantastic and varied role is a brilliant opportunity, with the product manager being responsible for creating, contracting, and seeing through to the delivery of a product that is not only commercially viable but creative and imaginative. In this role, a client-focused approach is key, delivering the best and on-brand product across the business.

Product Manager Key Responsibilities -

Contract a variety of product, ensuring that all the Consultants have the best product to achieve targets.
Product training and ongoing support for travel consultants to deliver sales growth
Ensure the business is buying product at a competitive rate and lead all negotiations
Analyse and report on the profitability of performance of product
Ensure the travel Consultants are knowledgeable and supported
Organise and operate fantastic PR trips for journalists to incredible destinations/resorts/properties
Source new innovative product
Stay informed of products featured in the media and, stay informed on what clients are asking for and communicating with suppliers/DMC's etc
Maintain positive, collaborative and professional relationships with DMC's and suppliers
Ensure that both air and ground allocations are requested, confirmed and loaded on res systems.
Set mark-ups and deliver a pricing strategy
Carry out routine competitor analysis and market trends.
Responsible for ensuring that group tours operate with profitable numbers
Ensure that itinerary/airline changes are updated with amended backups.
Assisting the Sale Manager with training on the groups brochure programme
Ensure that the product has met appropriate Health & Safety requirements and that contracts are in place with all suppliers
Attend trade events
You will liaise with suppliers and the Sales Managers to create tactical campaigns to stimulate enquiries
The Product Manager will provide product, including special offers, to support the Marketing and PR function of the company.
Product Manager experience/Qualifications: Essential -

Tour operating and Product experience essential
Previous experience managing teams is desirable but will consider Senior Product Executives looking a step into management
Contracting and Negotiation experience
Strong analytical skills
Ability to build up a portfolio commercially
Flexibility to travel
For this role, you will need to be driven, ambitious and have a self-starter, can-do attitude. You will be flexible in your approach, to be both reactive and proactive in growing revenue and maximising margins. You should have proven leadership skills, with a commercial and strategic mind. You will communicate and influence key stakeholders, as well as deal with demanding situations, so a calm and clear communication style is essential.

Overseas travel will be required to contract products and develop new destinations.
