HR & Recruitment Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director of this highly regarded, market-leading tour operator, the HR & Recruitment Manager will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team for the Human Resources and Recruitment function.

Our client is searching for an HR manager with a solid background gained in the Travel sector. They are looking for a natural people person who can continue to make this company a great place to work.

HR Manager Main Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing the HR & Recruitment department
• Ensure recruitment team hit KPI’s and regular review performance
• Support and develop the team, appraisals, monthly review, and weekly catch ups
• Support team with training needs and ensure high performance

Employment Law
• Responsible for HR for overseas and Head Office, providing commercial advice in line with local labour laws
• Interpret employment law and translate this to the business
• Manage complex employee relations casework
• Manage and advise on maternity, paternity, parental leave, and flexible working request
• Coach and support Line Managers on employment law matters
• Auditing HR documents and ensuing full compliance is met
• Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes
• Regularly review staff handbook and update in accordance with key legislative changes
• Responsible for signing off settlement agreements
• Preparing tribunals, bundles and documents
• Ensure staff have correct working rights and oversee the process of working Visa’s abroad
• Oversee and ensure all A1 applications have been processed
• Maintained staff records in line with General Data Protection Regulations and advise the business of any request for information
• Formulate Recruitment strategy in line with the business requirements
• Managing resourcing budgets, training and personnel budget, agency spend, contracts
• Support the recruitment process -writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and applications
• Review and produce manager’s bonus
• Responsible for Salary review’s
• Oversee Head office and Overseas payroll and sign off alongside Head of Finance
• Liaise with payroll over staff joiners and leavers, salary increases, sickness absence monitoring and reporting
• Sign of expenses as and when required
• Follow up on employee payroll queries


• Review oversees staffing levels and salary’s and put forward suggestions each season
• Ensuring Staff travel is being booked in line with budget

Human Resources Manager Skills Required:

• CIPD qualified or relevant experience required.

 Ability to manage/support the team
 Present a ‘can do’ and positive attitude at all times
 Organised, self-starter
 Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
 High level of attention to detail
 Strong leadership
 Influencing and negotiating skills
 The ability to analyse, interpret and explain employment law
